Our story
It began with a small group of friends who are interested to hike and camp around Malaysia. I have always been interested in nature and any activities related to it. The name ‘Meowtain People’ originated from my WhatsApp group created for organizing hiking activities, which is just a punny name with an image of ‘a mountain of cats’. Within the group we have organized almost at least one hike per week, starting from very simple hikes around Kuala Lumpur and the neigbouring states, while getting more difficult over time.
I have never thought of having a blog but the idea just popped up one day and I thought: “Hey, since I’ve been hiking so much, why not start a blog now, instead of wasting the valuable info and experience by keeping it to myself?”, the next day I got myself this website and here starts my blogging journey. While I will start my blog with simple hikes and activities, it will eventually get much tougher along with the experience I’ll gain. So stay tuned! Content Style
We emphasize on displaying accurate images of the places. We do not use presets or edit our photos with strong filter to enhance the images. What you can see here are what you would see at the actual locations. Photos are taken with smartphone without any AI technology that alters the colors of the photos.
