Bukit Tokki is a hill in the small part of Beserah forest reserve in Kuantan, Pahang. There are a series of hiking trails made by the locals, but navigation can be tricky. This is because the trails may be less visible, and the markers put up by different people can be confusing.
One special reason to visit this unassuming Bukit Tokki is the unique wave-shaped rocks in the area, similar to the famous wave rock of Bukit Baginda in Negeri Sembilan. The good thing is that you don’t need to hike much to see these wave rocks. Due to my time constraint and the uncertainty of time needed to explore the non-obvious trails, I did not venture deep into Bukit Tokki.
Bukit Tokki Trailhead
According to the information from different sources, there are multiple trailheads to reach Bukit Tokki peak. For the starting point closest to the wave rocks, you can start here (park your car at the side of the residential road).
Bukit Tokki Wave Rocks
As soon as you enter the starting point, you can already spot some of the wave rocks along the road where some bungalows are being built.
Various shapes and sizes of wave rocks formed around the outside of the trailhead.
A few more wave rocks can be found a couple minutes after entering the forest. I did not go further as the trails were disappearing and the sun was going to set soon.
When in the area, try out Beserah’s local traditional bone soup noodle at Mee Calong Tulang Ayam Pak Usop Alor Ladang.
Walking along the nearby beach, I stumbled across the half-sunken British Bunker Beserah.
