It is a place visitors like to stop by during the evening to observe the sunset. You could probably call it a trail because it felt foresty. We encountered quite a number of squirrels. There were two broken wooden planks along the stairs. It is tempting to look around the canopy but it is better to stop while doing so. Make sure you know where you are going to step, especially when going
