Coco Cabana: A good hangout place to chill and see the sunset
If you ask anyone in Miri what to do or see, Coco Cabana would surely pop up in the list. Located just at the Southwest tip of the town, a 10+ minutes drive can get you to this beautiful beachfront.
If you decide to walk from town instead, the walkway along the road was wide and straightforward.
What to do or see in Coco Cabana
Right off the parking area, there is a wide grassy space to enjoy the ocean view.
There are several seatings here. A love-shaped platform here is a good place for couples to take a romantic picture.
This wooden architecture is actually a bar – Sunset Bar.
At the end of the land, you’ll find more tables and chairs to chill by the ocean. There are a couple of Instagramable swings facing the ocean.
What’s happening in Coco Cabana
Due to the timing I went there, the place was empty and quiet. In some days, the place will hold events frequently and the whole place would look like a carnival. Food kiosks were set up around the place.

Mascot of Miri: Seahorse
Other than the one at Miri Waterfront, there is also a huge seahorse statue here at Coco Cabana. Seahorse is the mascot of Miri: Gentle and Graceful.

Monday to Friday: 11am – 11pm
Saturday to Sunday: 8am – 11pm
Miri Central Park
Located right beside the road entering Coco Cabana, Miri Central Park has a huge area for hangouts and recreational activities.
Miri Central Park is a dog-friendly park.
