Sosodikon Hill

Sosodikon Hill | The Magnificent View Of Kundasang

Located between Kundasang town and Mesilou, Sosodikon Hill is a very easy, beautiful hill to climb. Yet, the view on the top is marvelous. You can enjoy the hilly villages view like it’s a different world. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to witness an unobstructed view of Mount Kinabalu when there’s no cloud around.

How To Reach Sosodikon Hill (on foot or by driving)

Kundasang

I decided to walk on foot from my homestay in Mesilou to the hill as the weather is nice and cool.

Walking toward the South, my back is facing the majestic Mount Kinabalu.

Jalan Sosodikon is the road to reach Sosodikon Hill. It can be reached via the North and South entrance of the road. If you are driving, the South entrance (via Jalan Kundasang Kauluan) is short but very narrow for vehicles, and no suitable parking around the junction if you decide to walk on foot, unless you park by the roadside at a private property (which is not good). It is better to drive in through North (from Jalan Cinta Mata Mesilou, enter Jalan Dream World near the opposite of the road to DESA Dairy Farm).

At the end of Jalan Dream World, continues the North starting point of Jalan Sosodikon. A car in general could drive through this road but if you are not confident, you can park your car by the side of the wide road in front of Dream World Resort and walk on foot to the hill.

Sosodikon Hill Entrance Fee

By the foothill, is a ticket booth to hike Sosodikon Hill. The entrance fee is RM3 per person. It is good that they did not charge extra for foreigners.

I like the sight of the pathway all the way up to the hill.

Various types of beautiful and colorful plants and flowers are planted along the path.

P.S. Do not pick the flowers.

There is even a toilet near the top.
